This collection was all about British restraint and luxury. Strict tailoring was the main focus, with and emphasis on purity and sobriety.
This was our 3rd runway show at NZFW and was a hugely fun and successful show. We wrapped the models legs in elastic and tape to convey horse bandages and it created a wonderful effect for runway.
Wool-silks and crisp cottons were prominent. This collection had a longevity to it, which was concerning me at the time. The financial crisis was affecting us all hugely and more so in luxury. I still wear many pieces from this collection as they have lasted in style and quality for all these years.
We also showed this collection in New York at an offsite presentation during the snowstorm of 2010 Winter. Linda Fargo of Bergdorf Goodman was our first appointment for the week.
