Alexandra Owen is a fashion designer and creative consultant with over 10 years experience within the fashion industry. She ran her luxury womenswear line in New Zealand from 2005-2013, becoming one of the country's most celebrated, prolific and original designers. She has shown her collections at both New York and New Zealand fashion weeks to much acclaim and featured in numerous high profile publications such as Vogue, Elle, Huffington Post, Sportswear International to name a few.
Alexandra has an affinity for high-end minimalism. Her natural aesthetic is modern and silhouette driven, with a love for Japanese, Belgian and Scandinavian design. Alexandra is a master tailor with strong roots in experimental pattern-cutting, drape and fabric manipulation.
Alexandra has been long respected for her ability to build brands with a strong and unique voice in the market, with a breadth of experience ranging from luxury to large scale fashion. Completing her Master of Fashion & Textiles (Entrepreneurship) at RMIT University in 2014, Alexandra now focusses on creative strategy and design thinking for business. Alexandra offers unique insights into the rapidly changing fashion & textiles industries, including qualitative research and strategy for market differentiation and innovation.
