Wear it like Marilyn

After seeing the ‘My Week with Marylin’ I was taken by her high-waisted pencil skirt and blouse look. It’s effortlessly glamourous, and I am now planning on wearing the look out to dinner this weekend.

Here’s the look from Marylin….

And here are a few looks you can do with our latest arrivals….

Pocket Shirt in Blush (also avail in Silver, Camel, Navy) and Bridge Skirt in 'Winters Tale' (also avail in Black tweed)

Sliver Blouse in Khaki (also avail in Brick and Navy) and Gatsby Skirt in Black

Visit us in store for our classic white shirts for a more classic look.

Alexandra Owen Loves Wellington

Recently we were asked by The Denizen online magazine www.thedenizen.co.nz to produce a short clip about the things we love about Wellington. We quickly contacted our long time collaborator Simon Wilson. This is the result.

For the techno geeks out there this film was shot entirely on the Canon 5D.

Common Magazine

Common is a new magazine founded by talented designer Matt Smith. The magazine is due out soon and needs the community’s support to give it a boost to market.

Many design and industry luminaries are involved: Murray Crane, Jamie Mclellan, Alexandra Dodds. There’s even a very candid interview with my husband and I, where we opened up about our business as never before!

It will be a unique and interesting magazine, put together by clever people.

They have opened a Pledge Me account to take donations of support. Every dollar counts so pledge that if you can! https://www.pledgeme.co.nz/Crowd/Details/125

Alexandra Owen- New Wakefield St Flagship

After a few months of renovations, our Wakefield St Flagship has a beautiful new face. Designed and built by James Whitta (aka Mr Owen), the space is twice the size with a beautiful new feeling of luxury and calm.

Simon Wilson collated a charming video of our new space. We hope you will come and see it for yourselves.
